BioHello! My name is Susie Haberfeld and I am a full-time writer. I live in the most beautiful place in the world, hidden in the Mountains of North-West Wyoming. I have (currently) one published novel, The Splitting of the World, but am also a poet and artist (drawing, painting, sculpting, illustrating my books) and avid chef. This journal is a place for me to talk about my sundry interests as well as my work. The links are to resources I find useful and/or interesting and I hope they will also prove insightful and inspiring to my readers. This area will change as my journal changes, so keep watching! Recently, I learned that I am a carrier of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. My mom, sister, niece and nephew all are too, and my nephew will suffer the full effects of the disorder. But it's really easy to help find a cure and end this terrible disease. Before July 22, 2009, the makers of the wonderful, funny, and touching film Darius Goes West are trying to sell One Million copies of the DVD. $20 from you becomes $3 to make more DVDs and $17 to DMD research. See the movie. It'll show you why your small contribution is immensely worthwhile.
